This car belonging to Timmins Automotive pulled into the only accessible parking space at Tim Horton's restaurant. There were empty parking spaces in the row behind, right next to where I was parked when I took this picture, waiting for a space near the ramp to be vacated. I couldn't get out of the car where I was, because there was fresh snow on the ground, and the ground sloped, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to push back up the slope on the slippery surface. Eventually a car did vacate a space about 4 spaces away from the accessible space, so I pulled in there, hoping that no one would block me in and not leave me enough room to get my chair in between the two cars. I crossed the parking lot to access the ramp, which was right next to the illegally parked car. The ramp hadn't been shoveled, and I got stuck in the snow, wheels spinning, unable to move forward. At that exact moment, the lady who had illegally parked her car walked out of the restaurant and asked me if I needed help. I admitted that I did, and she pushed me past the rough spot. I thanked her, and went on my way. Neither one of us mentioned the fact that she had been parked illegally. It was nice of her to give me a push, but it would have been even nicer to park 15 feet away so that someone who needed it could have used that spot.

The taxi company was contacted and their general manager is going to look into it. He said:
"If you have any additional information on the date and time of this incident I would welcome the receipt of that so we can identify the driver concerned at the time and address the matter with them directly.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.

A kid pulled into the Costco in Calgary Alberta. He proceeded to pull into the handicapp stall and ran in no decal or plate. I went over to his car and buried a 14" knife into all 4 tires. Then made a call to the local police. then stood back to watch the fireworks. Not only did he get fined he had to have his vehicle dollied to a shop and buy 4 new tires.
While this may have felt very satisfying, we do not recommend this behaviour. Knifing someone's tyres is illegal destruction of someone else's property. We should not behave illegaly to stop an illegal behaviour.
I bet he won't do that again. Thanks for the visual Vic.
