A "Hall of Shame" to expose cars parked illegally
in disability or mobility parking spaces.
A shop owner of the local shopping center was upset I took a photo of a car that didn't display their placard properly. When I pointed out that the reason I take photos is to be able to go back to the management of said center, so they would realize there is a problem, and they could do a better job at monitoring the spaces to reduce their abuse.
The man explained that he was fully aware of the needs for "handicapped parking" as he has a familly member who needs these spaces. He then proceeded to tell me that security staff at the shopping center do in fact monitor the spaces regularly, and place "blue paper notices" under the windshield wipers of cars parked without displaying their parking permit.
This was news to me. I've been going to this shopping center for several years, and I never have seen such papers on any cars. I've not seen security staff having a walk through the parking lot either. Now, I'm not saying they aren't doing it, simply that I've never seen it happen, in three years of regularly patronizing the shops.
And I can't help wondering, if they really are monitoring, why is it that just about every day that I go to this shopping center, I find one or two illegally parked vehicle?

The taxi company was contacted and their general manager is going to look into it. He said:
"If you have any additional information on the date and time of this incident I would welcome the receipt of that so we can identify the driver concerned at the time and address the matter with them directly.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.
