A "Hall of Shame" to expose cars parked illegally
in disability or mobility parking spaces.
Monitoring accessible parking spaces is not just the responsibility of people with disabilities. Parking violations can be captured by anyone with a cell phone capable of taking photos. It's easy work to help with effecting social change, and everyone can feel good about it. Even parking offenders who may go away from the experience having learned something positive.
Most people consider themselves (and are) responsible, caring and aware. Most people want to see a better world. "In your face" activism, protests and demonstrations, civil disobedience are all actions that may help towards such a better world. But let's face it, not everyone is able or willing to go out on a limb like that. Nothing wrong with that either.
Taking a photo of an illegally parked vehicle is easy. The positive impact of posting such photos can be tremendous. And by participating you're working to change attitudes. So the next time you are out and see someone taking parking spaces away from someone with a disability, stand up for their rights, take a snap, heck, if it makes you feel better, yell "caughtya" as loud as you can!

The taxi company was contacted and their general manager is going to look into it. He said:
"If you have any additional information on the date and time of this incident I would welcome the receipt of that so we can identify the driver concerned at the time and address the matter with them directly.

I may not buy more in one go, but I guarantee you I spend as much, if not more, than the average punter does in a week.
